As you might know, about 10 days ago we adopted an 11-month old puppy from rescue, Oliver, and he has been super challenging! He has high level anxiety from what has happened to him in his past. I am so grateful to have a wonderful trainer and veterinarian who are helping he and I and my other pup, Eva to redirect and reshape behaviors to more positive and calming ones. He is the sweetest good boy so all the hard work is worth it.
Today I decided to paint him on a Christmas sweater. I have always wanted to order some antlers for my pups to wear because they look like Max (the dog from Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch Who Stole Christmas). I think they’d just toss them off though and try to chew on them. So here’s the next best thing.
I love when my art makes me giggle. I giggled a lot while painting this one!
